The Jose Gaspar Crew participates in the sport of geocaching.  Geocaching is a high-tech adventure game where people hide small packages (caches) that can contain a wide variety of prizes, toys, maps, books, money, pictures or just about any other small object.  Included in the cache is a logbook.  The owner of the cache then posts the latitude and longitude coordinates to the website.

Anyone can then view the coordinates and information about the cache.  They enter the coordinates into their Global Positioning System (GPS) unit and then try to locate the hidden cache.

Once they find it, there are only three rules to geocaching:

1. Take something from the cache
2. Leave something in the cache
3. Write about it in the logbook is the official GPS cache hunt site. Go to this site for complete details and to see what caches have been hidden in your area.
